Exaxminations & Promotions
- Promotion is granted on the basis of the performance throughout the year and not merely on marks scored in the final exmination. It consists of the following :
- Unit Tests / Term Examination
- Day to Day written work, home assignment, work projects etc., practical etc. For promotion a pupil should obtain 40% in the annual aggregate in every subject.
- It is compulsory to pass in English.
- Promotion therefore, is granted on the basis of the whole year;s work of the pupil, hence the importance of regularity in attendance and work.
- No re-test or re-examination will be conducted.
- Under no circumstance, will an examination be taken either before or after the scheduled time.
- A student may be exempted on medical ground from one periodical test only. Appearing in the final exams is must for promotion.
- As per the directive of the council for school exmination a student will less than 80% attendance at the end of the session will be prevented from appearing in the final examination/board examination.
- Parents are requested to collect the progress report and return it duly signed on the day of Parent-Teacher Meeting.
- Marks and other remarks indicating promotion or failure, duly attested by the principal shall be considered final. Therefore results will not be reconsidered.
- A student who uses unfair means or receives or gives assistance in any form during examination will be given zero in the subject and warning letter. Repetition of the same will result in dismissal.
- Absence in the examination will be treated as having received no marks in it.
